Harriman State Park, NY - Elk Pen Parking

I-87 North, Exit 15A, Sloatsburg, Route 17: turn left at end of ramp. You will be on Route 17 North. Take this road about 13 miles to the Arden Valley Road entrance to Harriman State Park on the right. Turn right and proceed 1/2 mile to parking area on right. From NYS Thruway Exit 16: Proceed south on Rt 17 approximately 4 miles. Look for road to the left with Appalachian Trail crossing sign.
