Harriman State Park, NY - Johnsontown Road cul-de-sac parking area
From NJ: Rt 17 North to NY State Thruway. Take first exit, 15A (Sloatsburg). Turn left at bottom of ramp onto NY Rt 17 N and continue through Village of Sloatsburg. Just past village, turn right at traffic light into Harriman State Park. Cross an overpass over railroad tracks and continue along Seven Lakes Drive for 0.7 miles, passing under Thruway overpass. Just before a sign indicates that you are entering Harriman State Park, turn left, then immediately turn right onto Johnsontown Road. Proceed for 1.2 miles to the end of the road and park at the cul-de-sac.

Palisades Parkway: Take the Palisades Parkway toward Bear Mountain Bridge. At the circle just before the bridge, get onto 9W South. Parking is on the right 3.5 – 4 miles south of the circle. There will be a road that comes into 9W at a sharp angle across from the parking lot.
I-87 Thruway: Take I-87 to Exit 16 (Harriman). Take Rt 6 East towards the Bear Mountain Bridge. At the circle just before the bridge, get onto 9W South. Parking is on the right 3.5 – 4 miles south of the circle. There will be a road that comes into 9W at a sharp angle across from the parking lot.
