Adirondacks Hiking Weekend Saturday July 26 - Tuesday July 29, 2025
AFW is planning on running its annual Summer weekend of hiking in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains at the Rock and River B&B in Keane, NY.
The “plan” is to do a short warm-up hike up Big Crow Saturday afternoon, offering a choice of 2 hikes on Sunday (one mod/stren to stren. and one between mod to mod+), Monday we plan to do Porter, one of the high peaks (this is an all day, strenuous hike) and a good-bye hike Tuesday morning at Mt. Gilligan. Please note, the “plan” is subject to change depending on the weather. We’ll spend the late afternoons and evenings resolving the world’s problems, discussing books we’ve read and new and old passions. No matter what, we never seem to run out of topics.
