Paddling

Paddling are half-day or full-day outings on our local rivers. Trips will be from four to 12 miles long. Participants should be comfortable on and around the water and must wear an approved PFD (Personal Flotation Device) at all times while on the water. Participants may bring their own boats or rentals will be available.

For Beginners and Experienced Paddlers

Join us for a 2-hour paddle. Learn paddling basics and spend time touring the Giving Pond Recreation area and identifying local wildlife during a guided paddle. We can accommodate up to 15 paddlers for rental equipment, plus anyone who brings her own boat. Fee is the same for rental and/or own kayak. There are 9 single kayaks and 3 tandems available for rent. Please state your preference (single or tandem or own boat) with your payment. Registration will be on a first-come, first-paid basis.

Please register with full payment by July 24, 2017. Fees are non-refundable for events because AFW must pay for the event.

FEE: $35 (members $25). Includes equipment rental.
DATE: Sunday, August 6, 2017. Rain cancels the event.
TIME: 9:30am. Paddle is 10am – 12pm.
